Sure Glad This Week Is Over!!! IT SUCKED!!!!

My account dropped 11K in value this week. Worst week year to date. Literally, if i did the George Costanza strategy, it would have been a great week. hahaha! This is why i need to stay away even more from this shady market. It has a very strange week. Up huge one day followed by down huge the next. No follow thru either way. The selloffs looked strong and the rallies looked empty. I couldn't find anything worth longing and at times, i was scratching my head and wondering where the heck is the buying taking place??!! Anyway, still on trading probation and hoping that August trading activity picks up. This is just lame!!!

I had a horrible week as well. Hopefully things will pick up soon. I need to stop myself earlier when I start sucking.

Hey stewie, i feel yah. had to keep positions small, and I only day-traded 2 days.. i just couldn't get a good read on the market this week.

Anyway, if you're interested, I will be writing a post about "position-sizing" this weekend, and I'm looking for a day-trader's perspective. So far I have Mac from chartswingtrader.com to contribute about a swing-trader's perspective, because he knows when to stay out of the market, and when to get in. Maybe you can write us a post this weekend about holding sizes for day-trading and ONHs. I know what you mean though... if i have a good ONH, then I will trade aggressive the next day for day-trading.

... anyway, if you're interested, or if you have time, that would be great! Should be good stuff.

See you on WallStreak, where the waves keep coming.

Believe me, you are not the only one thinking that. I thought yesterday was the start of a more severe pullback, but obviously not. I would have no problem going long here if there were stocks that looked good or acted well. There just aren't many at all.

wow. i had no idea i was the only in this boat. i almost felt like i sucked this week. very tricky market to say the least. definitely time to step away and be very careful. like i said before the mrkt has no mercy for the careless trader. gotta respect it. the mrkt is not in a giving mood right now. gio: what's your email address: i can try and do a little write up and email it to you sunday if that works for you.
take care guys.

Sounds good stewie! email me at 48thwonder@gmail.com

Remember, think of these losses as the "cost of investment." Then it's all about Return On Investment from there. I think PinoyTrader once said, that these losses is the cost to buy a catapult that will spring you to bigger gains.

Gotta spend money to make money... just don't spend too much though.

i am having the same problems trading but with Oil acting the way it did this week the market is trading on that and the strong dollar only. Its a quick relief rally I feel and the market will soon begin downward again. Theres no good news and alot of things that are getting worse in housing, credit and in the banks. Hold on and sit tight.

That's what I like about you stewie. You talk about both wins and losses. For some people, it's only wins. Win some lose some, it's all part of the game.

Sorry to hear that, Stewie. It's been a real tricky market. I've had my share of George Costanza trades.
