Do not force the issue. that's how many traders lose capital in a choppy mrkt like today's. Let the mrkt decide what it wants to do and then plan your trades.
GE: too late to buy it i think. looks buyable on dips to around 8. or defintely buyable on retest of lows. not sure you'll get that chance anytime soon/.
