America Lives On!

God bless america because democracy is for real!!!!! I am so proud. i am from the middle east, born in africa and i grew up in europe (Italy, switzerland and france) and i will tell you something fellas, people are HAPPY and EXCITED to see Obama in office. This is a HUGE step in the positive direction for the USA as far as international affairs goes. There will be much less resentment towards the USA as a result of this, i guarantee it!! This is HUGE! God bless america!
peace.

he IS a great leader bro. This is what this country needs now. A soothing, charismatic, respected voice.

Yes, Stewie, we're witnessing history being made: the world's election. Abraham Lincoln himself would have been very proud. My hope for our country's future lives on.

Well said Stewie. Finally I can travel abroad again without apologizing for the arrogance and blatantly criminal international activities of the administration. People living outside the US understand the dollar and our international policies much better than we do.

I just hope it's imperialism light for a while. The US empire building is getting out of control.

Originally from Chicago, I live in China now and hope for better relations.

Hey Stewie!
The change I'm looking for is smaller and less intrusive government. I just hope the happiness is still here in 3 years and we're still excited about the choices we made yesterday.
My 'hope' is for a flourishing American space program!!! oh yeah, and all that foreign relations stuff, too......economy...etc :)

I agree with you. This is good for America and the world and he is the right man for job right now. I am not affiliated to any side but he is such a breadth of fresh air and definitely a leader.
If he runs the country like he did his campaign, we will all be better off.

I respect you as a successful trader but I couldn't disagree with you more about this disaster called Obama.

Wow I never thought about the internation aspect of it until I read Gamingthemarket's comment.

I too travel overseas and find myself apologizing too.

Good Post and good comments

To all you idiots who have to apologize when you go overseas. Do you apologize for the over 200k men we lost liberating Europe from the Nazis, or liberating Kuwait, or sending billions of dollars for aid to countries in plight. Yes, we are not a perfect society. But without the U.S.A. you would see chaos in the world. Stewie as the other anon said, you are an excellent trader, but a great leader! What has he lead? He needs to prove that. I do hope he can, as I am an American and hope for the best for the U.S.A.

Yes Stewie, it was a historical election and we should be proud of it

Now let's go back to work!

If you need to apologize when you travel overseas, you probably shouldn't travel overseas. Remember all the respect we had under Bill Clinton? Did that stop Osama from attacking in World Trade Center I, Kenya, Tanzania, USS Cole, etc. etc? I think not! Think, don't harp on stupid thoughts people

stewie i love ya but FUCK the world-global inefficiencies are not OUR fault-all liberals are dictator groupies ie, jimmy the dick carter-all the same-don't believe the CNN headlines stew-you'll see in time

In some cases it is good to have he USA involved. I don't always agree with foreign Governments. HOWEVER those of you calling us idiots (how nice) and to not travel overseas are clearly arrogant. AND too many here listen to the media as a reliable source. I have lived over here in southeast asia for the last 5 years. (lived in Chicago for 40 yrs) I hopefully will never go back - except to visit) I WILL CONTINUE TO APOLOGIZE on your behalf. And *Kindly* please do not come over here to my part of the world. Stay fenced in since you think you are so "great". The Thai's, Vietnamese,Filipinos, and many Chinese People (not governments) have treated me so much better than most of my close friends in the USA. Asia is much warmer, kinder, and caring than MOST people in the USA. Period.

There is a fundamental difference between Americans who are humble, and Americans who have the attitude of "We own the world." Guess which one is popular with the other 95% of the world's citizens?

He is a strong leader with clear vision. Also, he seems to be culturally aware. One of the most important thing is he inspires hope and makes people believe that there is a bright future in spite of the current grim outlook and financial mess. That's exactly what people need and he has lived up to the expectations so far. I(and many of my friends - US and non-US) am really happy to see him as a president.
